How Squidoo Increases Affiliate Marketing Profits

I’ve been reading a lot of Affiliate Marketing products lately and the emphasis of most of them has been on getting backlinks. Currently I write and submit articles to Ezine articles, and a few other article directories, so I figured that was enough to get a backlinks from high PR sites. But I guess not.

On a recent holiday promotion I was doing I got a little ticked off.  I was using PPC and it seemed like I spent $110.00 to make $100 in sales.  If you do the math on that one, I definitely was NOT making any money.  I would be up in sales, but the next day, no sales, and Google got all my money (notice how they always get paid!)

So I decided to use one of the backlinking methods mentioned in a recent Affiliate Marketing training book. I built a Squidoo site that was based on my original site name.  I made a nice site, added my affiliate links – and a link back to my original site.

Than I paused my PPC campaign.

And the next day I made sales that equaled about $100 in profits – and guess what, I got to keep it!  And I continue to get to keep my affiliate profits!

Making a Squidoo site is really easy to do – and it’s free!  I actually think its fun.  I’ve made them before, and in this case it took me about an hour to get my site set up (mostly because I had to re-write four product reviews).  If you’re not familiar (or scared) of trying to set up a site on your own, there’s an excellent  training resource available on how to Squidoo at a reasonable price.

But Squidoo has a lot of information available on their site and basically walks you through the process when you sign up.  So if you’re not afraid to test things out (you really can’t break anything there), just go to their site and start building!

And remember, if you build a site based on a niche that you’re already marketing in, add that web link to your Squidoo site, or add your RSS feed there and you’ll get a good backlink.

I highly recommend this as one more step in a high-quality campaign.  It may not work like it did for me every time, but if you have a good product; you definitely should be doing some Squidoo Marketing. Find out more by checking out Squidoo today!
