I must admit, “The Next Internet Millionaire” advertisements confused me a little. In fact, I sat down at my TV on the day it was supposed to “Air” and put my Tivo to work searching for the program. Then I started to get nervous because I thought I had missed it, so I went back to the computer and found out that it wasn’t on NBC, or CBS, or any of those places I watch the other reality shows - this time, I could watch it on my computer! I figured I would tune in and then split the screen and do some of my Affiliate Niche Marketing stuff while it was on.

But it didn’t happen that way because it was all so interesting. They introduced the cast, and then had the competing members tell the audience why one of the OTHER people should win.  It’s always challenging to plug someone else when you want to win so badly yourself.

Then the future Internet marketing millionaires had to set up a web-site focusing on a suggested niche product. They were judged by how well they did.

Some had GREAT web marketing ideas, but others, who also had some great web site ideas, lacked enthusiasm in their presentation to the judges and became the first to get “Eliminated from the Competition.” Much better than pointing a finger and yelling - YOUR FIRED!”  I’ll take Joel’s methods over Trumps any day!

I think the show has endless possibilities for teaching the viewers something about Niche Marketing. I’m definitely going to tune in again - not so much to track the people and see who gets kicked off (um,  eliminated) next, but more because the previews for the next show have a VERY BIG WIG Internet Marketer doing the training - and I definitely want to be there to learn more!
